Marathi Version of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika's song -An appeal

(i) It is our great pleasure to inform you that, after almost four years of efforts, The Assam Association, Mumbai is at the final stage of completion of the dream project, “Creation of Marathi Version of the Ten Immortal Songs of Bharat Ratna, Dr Bhupen Hazarika”. We are planning to release these songs to the public by the end of the year. (ii) Following songs are finalized for translating into Marathi:- Manuhe Manuhar Babe, Moi Eti Jajabor, Oo Bideshi Bandhu,Sagar Sangamat,Buku Hom Hom Kare,Godavari Noire,Dola He Dola,Moi Aru Mur Cha,Bistirna Parore,Eti Koli Duti Pat, and Chinaki Mur Manar Manuh. (iii) Eminent Poetess, recipient of the Shakuntala Award and many other laurels, Dr Vijaya Dev of Pune, has created those Marathi versions of songs. Doyen of the musical industry of Bollywood, Mr Jatin Sarma is in charge of music and recording of the songs. It is our pleasure to inform you that many prominent singers of Maharashtra like Madam Usha Mangeshkar, Baiju Mangeshkar, Vaishali Samant, Mahalakshmi have given their consent for recording these songs in their voices. (iv) A booklet consisting brief details of the project and the details of the key contributors will be published at the time of public release of the songs. To meet the project cost of more than eight lakhs, this is our earnest appeal to all esteemed Assamese Mumbaikars to support this program and to come forward by donating minimum Rupees one thousand from each family. This single gesture of yours will help our music and language to cross new boundaries. (May kindly refer to the details given below and the annexure for contribution).
